Music & Multiroom Sound

Wouldn't it be great if you could enjoy home cinema DVD movies, listen to your music collection, watch your favourite TV programmes or just listen to the radio all from speakers that are so discrete that your guests won't even know where they are? The ability to watch television in every room has been around for many years with the use of systems such as Sky multi-room. Now, with the use of special equipment, you can have music in every room in your house with the use of Audio Multi-room systems.

The audio for each room is all connected to one main server which is discretely placed within your house with all cables and connections either placed behind the walls or in the ceiling. You can control the audio for each room with either a remote control or a keypad situated on the room.

Sonos Multi-room Systems

Linn Multi-room Systems

Imagine it, you pick up your wireless remote handset, select your favourite music tracks on an i-pod style menu, press play and hear your music better than the worlds best CD player can achieve. That's the Klimax DS. Simple, elegant, future-proof.

How it works?

Firstly, your entire digital music selection is stored on a computer hard drive (or NAS drive - Network Attached Storage Drive) This usually has several drives in a box so that any failure of a drive won't result in the loss of your music collection. See RipNas below

The CD's are "burned" onto the drive using software which repeatedly reads the CD until it has a high degree of confidence it has an exact copy. This gives a much more accurate source than a cd player trying to achieve the same thing in a single pass.
